January 12, 2011 - Haiti, One Year Later

Jan. 12 marks the one-year anniversary of the earthquake that devastated Haiti, killing a staggering 250,000 people and impacting the health and lives of many more.

There’s no shortage of one-year-later news coverage today providing insights, often melancholy, into the current lives of those displaced or otherwise impacted by the earthquake, as well as the country’s rebuilding process and recent cholera epidemic. Some suggested reading:

“Every day we learn again about the reservoirs of strength which come from hope. Today at Hôpital Albert Schweitzer Haiti (HAS), we pause to reflect and to honor what Haitians have lost.”
